‘Do Better,’ ‘That Was Atrocious’ — Outrage Erupts As NBC Uses ‘AI Slop’ Graphic During Colts-Chiefs SNF Clash - Yahoo Sports

During the first quarter of Sunday night's NFL game between the Indianapolis Colts and the Kansas City Chiefs, NBC aired a video looking back at the history of quarterbacks who have followed Andrew Luck in Indianapolis since his retirement.

The video, though, really looked like it was made with AI (Artificial Intelligence). Fans were hot and heavy with their opinions after seeing the video and, well, they were not happy at all.

What did this video look like? One fan went right to the heart of the matter when they posted this on social media.

The fan wrote, "NBC using AI now this is just sad and lazy."

Another viewer compared what he was seeing on his TV to caricatures that one might find in a children's Bible book. This fan wrote, "What in the AI kids' Bible book is this Sunday night football graphic?"

This fan was literally not impressed by what NBC did in that video. He posted this online: "NBC just used an AI slop graphic on SNF that sucks … Do better @SNFonNBC."

And, well, this viewer was more pointed in his comment and wrote, "Was that a full AI graphic slideshow on SNF? Awful (expletive)."

This fan got his TV networks mixed up in his post, thinking that CBS carried "Sunday Night Football" and not NBC. He wrote, "I know for a (expletive) fact CBS did not just use an AI graphic for the Colts QB history after that pick".

There are not too many fans of AI videos in these reactions. Here's another hot one just in from the social media world: "a heartfelt (expletive) you to @SNFonNBC for your AI graphic of past Colts QBs, HIRE AN ARTIST YOU BROKE LOSERS".

One NFL fan called out NBC and the NFL directly over the AI video and how the network used AI to show Colts quarterback Daniel Jones. The fan wrote, "No we are not letting @NFL and @SNFonNBC get away with using AI for their Daniel Jones graphic."

The NFL also caught some fire from this fan, who didn't like seeing AI used to create a graphic for the telecast. The fan posted online, "NFL makes more money than god and im seeing an AI snf football graphic… aight."

This fan asked another very pointed question on the AI video: "Did NBC show us AI slop for this graphic?"

Meanwhile, this fan wondered if the NFL had enough cash on hand to get legitimate designers to do their graphics. The fan wrote, "NFL too broke to hire graphic designers? That AI was atrocious".

Whether the NFL or NBC decides to use AI again to do a graphic as they did on "Sunday Night Football" remains to be seen.

Fans, though, will call them out again if they see it during an NFL telecast throughout this season.
