The milestone reflects one of the deepest, most refined datasets of real-world medical necessity and level-of-care decisions generated by a single, purpose-built AI system.

Xsolis was founded in 2013 as an AI-first company committed to ethical AI, years before most established players in utilization management began layering AI onto existing platforms. The company introduced its first predictive model, the Care Level Score®, in 2015. Today, Xsolis' AI models span predictive and generative capabilities, powering Dragonfly across utilization management (UM), discharge planning, and other clinical and operational workflows.

Xsolis counts a prediction as any AI-generated output tied to a patient encounter, including level of care and status determinations, discharge planning, and post-acute care transitions. Xsolis officially launched Dragonfly, its next-generation AI-powered platform giving health systems and health plans a real-time, shared view of medical necessity and level-of-care decisions. Dragonfly's extensible architecture enables an improved user experience and faster delivery of new capabilities to clients.

- December 2024: First generative AI pilot signed. Xsolis announced its first generative AI solution to help clinicians streamline documentation and expedite appeal letters, addressing a task that, according to a Harris Poll cited at the time, consumes nearly 9 hours a week of clinician time.

- June 2025: Results validate the second generative AI model.
